Welcome to The Car Cavern and thank you for looking at this fabulous Ford Escort XR3i. We bought this car from a private collector who was very particular about his cars and it shows in the condition of this example. Whilst the speedometer is showing 59000 miles this cannot be relied upon as being accurate as we do not have any evidence to support that. We have to start by saying whilst it is in very, very good condition throughout it is not concourse and has had previous paintwork but we have had a really good look around the car and as you can see from the videos, in our opinion it appears never to have been welded or indeed had any major panel work. Prior to delivery we will replace the timing belt/water pump, valve stem oil seals, oil and oil filter etc. It has already had new plugs and plug leads, crank position sensor, coil pack and fuel potentiometer to make sure it is performing as it should and also bnefits from a virtually new stainless steel exhaust. It will also be given a new MOT which will have no advisories outstanding. The interior is lovely and seat covers/roof lining are nice and tight with no sagging and it doesn't smell of damp or dog or cigarette.
Drives very well, feels nice and tight with good acceleration and performance.
